Hi, and welcome to my corner of the internet!
My name is Nicolai. I’m a consultant for operational technology (OT) cybersecurity and architecture in Norway. I’m a certified cybersecurity practiotioner for industrial control systems, have a B.sc in Automation And Electrical engineering.
Before I ventured full time into consultancy and cybersecurity, I have a background from the Water and wastewater sector in Norway and industrial control systems. Working with national critical infrastructure, I gained insight into its functioning and how it could be exploited to impact health or the environment. In the OT space, cyber-physical systems are used to manipulate and interact with physical systems, which can potentially lead to catastrophic events. As I continued my work, I developed a passion for cybersecurity and I now dedicated my time to assisting asset owners in creating robust architectures and implementing effective cyber defense.
Being a computer geek at heart, I spend some of my spare time on cybersecurity and hacking. I have enjoy the amazing platforms tryhackme and hackthebox, where I learn about various topics ranging from network enumeration to binary exploitation. And occasionally, I do find OT related challenges, which i enjoy a lot.
This blog serves as my online journal, where I can further expand my knowledge by writing about cybersecurity and Operational Technology.
